Bicycle and Walking Buses
A Bicycle or Walking Bus is a group of students riding to school together. The “drivers” are parent volunteers that walk or ride at the front and rear of the group and guide children to school. This program is ideal for younger students ages 8-14.\

Independent Student Transportation
Independent Student Transportation allows for students to independently and safely commute to and from school. Digital tracking systems for student walkers and bikers can track the students progress. This provides information to students, parents and educators so that everyone can be proud of the impact their participation is making on their environment and their health.

Completion of the Regional Greenway through Bentonville
The Bentonville section of the Regional Greenway is almost complete! Community input is essential to completing sections through the Downtown are and along S.E. P St

- organizing informational sessions for interested community members.
- work with neighborhoods to develop solutions that are sensitive to the needs of specific neighborhoods and the community as a whole
- provide technical and graphic assistance to develop feasible proposals.
- assist in funding research and opportunities for community driven infrastructural projects
Bike Route Improvements: On-Road Facilities
Bentonville has several designated bike routes. According to Federal standards and guidelines measures should be taken to ensure that these routes provide safe and efficient travel for bicyclists. Bike Bentonville promotes the continued development of our On-Road bicycle facilities to meet the needs of our community.
